ESPERE Association has been established to popularize information and research results on climatology in a wide context of Earth sciences, for all citizens interested in environmental issues.

As climate change is progressing, the Association aims to promote international cooperation and coordinate common actions in that field. Moreover, the Association maintains and updates the content of the ESPERE Climate Encyclopaedia, established within the ESPERE-ENC project. Sound knowledge about the functioning of climate system is the necessary basis of the understanding of the causes and effects of climate change. It is also needed to undertake actions aimed to mitigate climate change.
